Four Months Out...

SUNDAY,

We're back for the 3rd year at the beautiful Hayen Cabin
We have a website!
You can follow all updates on
Eastern Sierra Book Festival  or on Facebook.
Are you an author or writer? Would you like to participate in our Author Meet & Greet? Let us know. We'll get you a space where you can meet your fans and sign books. We'll also give you a chance to introduce your book to the audience.
VENDOR BOOTHS
We are offering spots for vendor tables this year for a nominal fee. Arts and crafts welcome. If the items are book-related, all the better!

NEWS

FOUR WORKSHOPS!

The festival is free, but participants in the workshops will pay a fee to compensate the instructors.

"Turning your Travels into Tales"
Sierra Nevada College writing teacher and author of Outdoor Book award-winning “Almost Somewhere” and the forthcoming “Bad Tourist,” Suzanne Roberts, will be offering a two-hour workshop on travel writing.

"Travel Book Journaling with Watercolor"
Lady Jill Mueller will take the “scare” out of learning to draw and paint landscapes. Drawing can be done anywhere during your day, along your travels. There is always a rock, a log or a bench to sit on somewhere. By getting this habit of drawing you can plan on finding inner peace and joy, fine tuning your paintings and connecting with ‘Source.' Renowned artist Lady Jill Mueller has been a professional artist for over 40 years. Her works adorn many walls in Mammoth and around the world.

"Children's Writing: About and Two Activities"
Simon & Schuster author Terry Pierce has over 25 published books, including many award-winning titles, such as "Mama Loves You So" and "Blackberry Banquet." She teaches children's writing at UCLA and has a BA in childhood development and an MFA in writing for children and young adults. She was a Montessori teacher for 22 years. She will talk about children's books and lead two writing activities.

"Poetry Workshop"
For twenty years Eva Poole-Gilson taught writing and literature for Cerro Coso College. With California Arts Council grants, she was poet-in-residence at two High Sierra high schools. Her favorite job has been as a teaching poet via California Poets in the Schools. She has MAs from the University of Wisconsin and Mexico's Instituto Allende.
